| Welcome to my studio. Although I grew up near Rochester, New York, at a very young age my heart defected to the rural Southern Tier Hills by the Genesee River. As a child, I was enamored of the wonderful old barns, abandoned orchards (where one could still taste forgotten pleasures like Snow Apples, Seek-No-Furthers, Northern Spies, and Granny Smiths); and the fragrant hemlock woods with clear little rocky streams. As an adult, and an artist, I now live in that place - and every time I pick up a paintbrush, I attempt to pass along to others some of my pleasure in these simple things. Marilyn N. Fiegl . |
